Are you looking for a stylish, compact, modern and modular home battery? Then take a look at this Huawei LUNA2000 15kWh Home Battery. The batteries in the LUNA storage system are therefore designed in such a way that the storage capacity can be expanded in a modular way. As a result, the home battery has scalable storage from 5 kWh to 15 kWh. The Huawei LUNA2000 system is also very compact and easy to install. In addition, the LUNA2000 batteries are safe and reliable thanks to the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells. The following products are included with this Huawei LUNA2000 15kWh Home Battery. A Huawei Battery Management System and three 5kWh battery modules.

You also need a Huawei 1-phase energy meter or Huawei 3-phase energy meter to allow the system to communicate with your inverter. You also need two solar cables, a signal cable (8 cores) and an earth cable (10mm) to connect the inverter to the battery and the ground. The battery can be charged and discharged with a Huawei SUN2000 KTL inverter . Take a look at the Huawei 2KTL-L1 for example .

You can combine two LUNA2000 home batteries (cascade setup). Ultimately, this storage system is scalable from 5 kWh to 30 kWh. You can use this battery, for example, to store energy from your solar panels. It is also possible to obtain electricity from the energy grid at certain times. You can then feed this back to the household or the energy grid at a later time. In combination with a Huawei inverter and the FusionSolar App, this system can be used in many ways. This Huawei LUNA2000 15kWh Home Battery can also be used as an emergency power supply. You do need the Huawei Backup Box for this .

You can install the battery in a (well-ventilated) place inside or outside the house. The battery is IP66 approved (dust-free and water-resistant). The manufacturer’s specification states that the distance to the inverter should not exceed 10 metres. In addition, always install the battery in a shaded and preferably dry place. In principle, the battery can also be installed outdoors. The battery functions at temperatures from -20 degrees Celsius to plus 55 degrees Celsius.

Three programs can be set in the FusionSolar app, so that you can use the home battery as desired. The Self-consumption mode is aimed at making maximum use of your own generated solar energy. All excess solar energy is stored in the home battery as much as possible. The battery starts delivering when there is not enough solar energy to power the household. You can use Runtime mode to charge or discharge the battery at specific times. For example, charge the battery at night as standard, so that there is always electricity available in the battery during the day. The third mode is called  Fully Supplied to Grid . This mode can be used especially when there is not enough capacity on the national energy grid to supply solar energy. In that case, the home battery is charged instead of supplying electricity back to the energy grid.

The discharge capacity of the Huawei LUNA2000 15kWh Home Battery is 5kW. That means this home battery can deliver up to 5000 watts of electricity power as standard. This power is usually enough to power smaller devices. However, at peak times it is possible to deliver 7000 watts of power for up to 15 seconds. Not sure exactly how much storage capacity you need?  You can calculate it easily with our calculation tool !
